For consumers who already have an ice-bath routine and find it useful, there is no established evidence that they need to replace it with whole-body cryotherapy. The two approaches differ in temperature, exposure time and method of cooling.

Cryotherapy may represent a more specialized option for people seeking supervised, short-duration cold exposure, while ice baths remain considerably more accessible.

The broader longevity market continues to evolve, but current research does not establish cryotherapy as a method of extending human lifespan. For now, its strongest potential applications remain associated with recovery and other short-term physiological responses rather than proven longevity benefits.
